thanks, the documents were not on my computer, but a link to
www.tldp.org gave me the needed information.

It was just to create the symlink:

ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/dvd

and now everything works as I want it to.

And I have bookmarked the link to The Linux Documentation Project, very
usefull.
