No.  There are 2 .Xresources files on the system.  They are:

rdc@laptop:~/mutella$ locate xresources 
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/30x11-common_xresources
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/30xfree86-common_xresources

Should I have one of those in my $HOME?
