Do you have the "Capture" channel on and set to a reasonable level. I use kmix
and it works appears to work fine to set up recording (sarge system). My
kmix settings to record from the mike.
Output
Master off (or I get feed back)
Input
Mic on and set to record (level 80%)
Capture set to record (level 80%) -- there is no on/off
Switches
MIc 20db boost on
Mic select on
