I use this: * rsync to copy /bin /etc /home /sbin /usr /var to hdb, daily in fcron job* mondo to make bootable backups suitable for *system* restoration in the event of disk failure or unrecoverable OS corruption, updated whenever I think it's necessary * CD-burning app to burn /home data to CD for off-computer data backups, every so-often
