1) Try not to top-post.

was above 3000Kbs i installed debian and now its a
slow 417kbs."  Take your 30000Kbs, divide it by 8, you
get 375KB/s.  Hint: 8bits = 1byte.  Debian is
reporting the kiloBYTES per second (~417, as you
reported), windows was reporting kiloBITS per second.
