Installing clamav-milter with daemon supervisor

I have recently installed woody with clamav-daemon and clamav-milter.  I see
that the clamav-milter has the following at the start of the startup script:

SUPERVISOR=/usr/bin/daemon
SUPERVISORPIDFILE="/var/run/clamav/daemon-clamav-milter.pid"
SUPERVISORARGS="-F $SUPERVISORPIDFILE --name=$BASENAME --respawn"

How do I set this up correctly?  There doesn't seem to be an appropriate
daemon or daemontools package in the repositories.  There is a file called
clamd-daemontools-guide.txt.gz but it refers to the daemontools package.

I've had clamav-milter bomb out on me a few times and am using a crude shell
scipt to rescue it.
