No, it shouldn't. Not sure what is causing that.

Unfortunately, Outlook Express doesn't handle MIME properly, so
PGP/MIME is out unless I can get gnus to automatically sign messages
- From more clueful venues differently.

I've yet to see a PGP-aware MUA that didn't recognize both on sight.
