OK, so I did an aptitude upgrade yesterday. Prior I had Apache and PHP4 working fine -- I usually update every couple of days. After updating Apache I'm presented with the following error message on attempted restart; Syntax error on line 241 of /etc/apache/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so into server: /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started Now I've been keeping a monolithic old sytle Apache httpd.conf file. When I was queried if I wanted to keep theold configuration file, I responded "yes".
