Gidday.
I got given an old compaq EN series sff, PII
400/64MB the other day in which I have set up as a small scale web
server/ftp/mail, etc, etc. to sit on my ADSL connection. The box runs fine
except it will not reboot with any kernel I compile... it shuts down all the
daemons etc, and then reboots to a black screen. It reboots ok with 2.4.18-bf24
for some reason.
The kernel I have compiled is the 2.4.25 kernel,
with APM support. PS: I have not had this problem with other PCs.
