Not good enough.

1) I don't use Konqueror at all but I installed using apt-get.

2) I downloaded java run time 4.2 from Sun and installed into /usr/java

3) In Konqueror settings -> Java & Javascript add the full path to java
which would be /usr/java/java version no/bin/java

Whoa! now I have Java in Konqueror.
