You really don't want to start with floppies unless you absolutely
have to.  You might try getting a Debian CD from a friend or local
Linux User's Group.  If you have a high speed connection and a CD
burner, I strongly suggest the new debian-installer CD, which does
most of the heavy lifting for you.

Failing that, if you *really* want to go the floppy route, you might
want to read through the manual and start following along.
