For PCMCIA, I recommend the NetGear WG511. It's supported by the Prism
driver included in newer 2.6 kernels, and with a download of the needed
firmware from prism54.org it worked out of the box for me.

Note that the 511 uses the Prism chipset; the 511T uses a different chipset.
