looking for help with iprout2 and netfilter ..

Hi ..
does anyone know of an easy to read doc on how to configure a linux box as
a firewall/bandwidth shaper/router ..?

Or is there anyone in Pretoria that will give of there time ..
To teach me .. ? I'm finding iprout2's info heavy going.
