upgrade woody -> sarge not working

Hi,

I cant upgrade my woody to sarge, could someone tell a learner what he has
done wrong? First I downloaded sarge iso-images from ftp://ftp.fsn.hu since
I prefer local ressources during installation. I added them via 'apt-cdrom
add' to my sources.list.

I tried aptitude which complained about unsatisfied dependencies in the
following packages:

   dpkg
   e2fsprogs
   libc6-dev
   libdb1-compat
   sysvinit

It couldn't solve this automatically and refused installation. So I tried
'apt-get dist-upgrade' which then said:

   libc6-dev needs libc6 (=2.3.2.ds1-10)
   libdb1-compat needs libc6 (>= 2.2.5-13)

apparently these packages aren't available on my CDs, so i tried with force:

   apt-get -f dist-upgrade

which would upgrade 597 packages install 223 packages and remove 222 (?!
the man page said dist-upgrade would _not_ remove any packages ...)
However it aborted with:

E: Internal Error, Could not perform immediate configuration (2) on
   slang1

Similar results with dselect. So I modified my sources.list like that:

deb http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
   deb http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian non-US main contrib non-free

which resulted in the following error-messages:

   Failed to fetch http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian/dists/
     non-US/main/binary-i386/Packages
   [snip]
     non-US/non-free/binary-i386/Packages
   [snip]
     non-US/contrib/binary-i386/Packages
   Reading Package Lists... Error!
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
E: Error occured while processing w3n-el
   E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.de.debian.org_
     debian_dists_unstable_main_binary-i386_Packages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened
update available list script returned error exit status 1

What have I done wrong?

Thanx for help
