Is xrdb something that needs to be run every time you start X, or just
once to update a database? I'm guessing the previous, based on its man
page, but I'm not sure where I would set this up.
You know, on re-evaluation, I don't think the font setting is working,
either ...
Anyway, I tried your suggestion.
This is the output of a query:
monique@luigi:~$ xrdb -query
*customization: -color
Xft.antialias: 1
Xft.dpi: 96.000000
Xft.hinting: 1
Xft.hintstyle: hintmedium
Xft.rgba: none
pterm.Font: -adobe-courier-bold-r-normal-*-*-120-*-*-m-*-iso8859-1
pterm.TermHeight: 70
pterm.TermWidth: 80
And yet ... pterm is still coming with its default height, 24.
Should the file be .Xresources or .XResources, or does it matter? Does
it need to be executable?
I couldn't find a man page on this file ... how would I go about finding
such a thing?
I can't help but feel that I'm missing something glaringly obvious.
