I second this.
I came across the book rather late, but it is THE book I'd like to have
had when I started -- I had 'Running Linux' which I found to be of
limited use.
It is best consumed as 'bedtime-or-similar reading': read a chapter,
then go to the computer and start doing things.
Ofc, for this approach to work things have to be NEW to you... with your
background, it could be that this book is boring. And as a mere
reference it is not quite as useful. Too much explaining text between
the facts...
