Thanks for the reply.  Some gentoo users are also reporting having this
fixed.  I understand the mm-sources are based on vanilla + andrew morton
patches, and I saw a LKML post (referred to in my bug report) stating a
relation to a statfs64 patch.  I havn't looked yet to see if my kernel
contains this patch yet.  Are you using nfsv3 or v4? Im using nfs v3
protocol.

This has been fixed for me for quite a while; I really can't remember
when, though, and I never noticed why. It could've been an upgrade of
coreutils, or a fix in the kernel, or perhaps even an upgrade of libc6
(fwiw, I'm running libc6 version 2.3.2.ds1-10).

I noticed on your gentoo bugreport that you mentioned your nfs exports
are reiserfs. So are mine, so that's not necessarily the problem.
