>From first hand experience[1] I strongly recommend that you get the full set
of CDs. They're not expensive; downloading megabytes via dial-up IS expensive.

[1] On several occasions I have been required to insert all 7 CDs (though
don't ask me to name the packages I was installing because I don't remember).
