I agree. Don't expand the number of slightly differently named lists.
I recently lost some time trying to understand helpful advise that was
predicated on my using Sarge, when, in fact, I was using Woody. Once I
realized what was happening, I solved the communication problem by
upgrading to Sarge. Then I used the advice to solve the initial problem.

I don't think having two lists would be at all helpful to the real newbie,
who isn't even aware of the existence of named distinct distributions of
Debian.
