If you still have the Mandrake installation available, compare the
config files from Mandrake and Debian. Also check the XFree log file
(probably /var/log/XFree86.0.log) for lines containing errors (EE) and
Warnings (WW). If you still jave problems, post the errors and the last
lines of the config file here.
