Hello all! To everyone out there having problems getting full SATA and PATA support working on the Asus P4P800 i have good news. It works! The trick is to configure Enhanced-Mode, SATA *only* and *not* PATA+SATA support in your BIOS. Yes i know that stinks. I discovered that by pure luck *sigh* You'll need the latest libata kernelpatch (-> Google) to get everything going. Remember that libata will assign a SCSI device name to your SATA disk so you'll need to fix your /etc/fstab.
