Check lspci output. My XF86Config-4 was originially set for slot 1:0:0, but as you can see below, it was on 2:0:002:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 If [Radeon 9000] (rev 01)
I gues some mobos put the AGP bus on 1 and others on 2. -Roberto
