Re: pppd daemon

The connection seems to be working now but I can't get any internet
applications to "see" the connection.

deblnx:/home/john# plog

When I tried to open konqueror from the terminal I got this response (
note I was root at terminal) :
deblnx:/home/john# konqueror
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
konqueror: cannot connect to X server :0.0
deblnx:/home/john#

I don't understand because if I type konqueror as myself/regular user
Konqueror opens (Still doesn't see internet connection).
Maybe none of that has anything to do with anything???
Yes I am in the dip group, yes I am in the dialout group. Aaaaaaaaagggggh!
And also slackware and SuSE both work fine!
