Dear Pigeon,

Sorry it's taken me this many days to reply, but I was on a business
trip for the past few days.

I can confirm that I installed version 2.0-pre14 from the deb file.
Despite being labeled "unstable," it seems to be very stable for me, and
I'm running Woody, not Sid.

/usr/share/doc/animail/docs.html does say version 1.1.30 at the bottom
of the file, but I haven't run into any incompatibility yet between the
documentation and the program itself. I've configured as docs.html
suggested, and so far it has worked.

I'm not an expert in regular expressions, but I understand the basics.
Sounds to me like you don't need anything very complicated. If you
wanted to block messages from this mailing list, for example, seems like
all you need in your deny file is a line like this:

   To: debian-user | Cc: debian-user

Hope this helps.

regards,
Robert
