RE: Samba and XP Pro



I'm using the default samba that comes with woody and installed
security-updates and it works fine. Guest account for XP doesn't have to be
enabled. Here's my config file:

workgroup = Meijer
server string = web
security = share


Above was enough to get it working. Leave other fields as they are
After this set your shares and it works.

in smb.conf, are you useing 'security=user or -share'? on the xp box have
you enablet teh guest account?

mabye you have to be more specific to what you want?
