I don't have any USB but I do use generic scsi. (sg.o) The readme? on generic
scsi says it asigns /dev/sgx, (x= a letter in the reame but in Debian Woody
it is a number), devices in /dev by the order in which they appear in
/proc/scsi/scsi. My scsi scanner is /dev/sg5 and is the sixth scsi device,
start counting at 0.
