well, I only have one configuration file in /etc/ppp/peers/ and that's the one 
created by pppconfig which is used by pon/poff (and yes, this one has the 
noauth option). As wierd as it my sound, I guess kppp doesn't save it's 
configuration file in /etc/ppp/peers/ .
