Re: PowerPC + PReP
Because my 41 Prep Parition is to small for the 2.4.18 kernel, and for experience, I want to re-install my this machine.
I have downloaded th 4 floppies from
ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-powerpc/current/prep/images-1.44/
but I have a problem while setting up the scsi device and the installation stops.
I have message from ncr53c8xx driver :
ncr53c8xx: 53c825a detected
.
.
aborting command due to timeout: pid 0, scsii 0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
Test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 00
ncr53c8xx_abort: pid=0, serial_number=1, serial_number_at_timeout=1
Any idea ?
Can I use files in
ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-powerpc/current/prep/
for a CD-ROM installation ? HOW ?

| | It's just a working kernel, so you could use the one that comes with the
| | Debian CD or you could compile a new kernel.
