This week I'd like to put

Is it possible to have
Debian 3.0 on the primary
hard drive, windows98
on the second and Mandrake
on the third?
The easiest way is to install Windows98 first on the primary hard disc
(hda in linux). It will create a primary partition (the first on the
disc) and install itsef into it. (This is hda1 in linux.)
Then install Linux. Debian's installation program (dbootstrap) will call
cfdisk to create the partitions you need - at minimum a swap partition
and a Linux partition. The installation manual is a little heavy going
but invaluable:

Other official documentation is at

If you have installed Win98 and Mandrake first, Debian's installation
asks you if you wish to include them in the LILO boot menu.
This is the easiest way if you are starting from scratch. You can always
configure an existing setup later.
I do have
three hard drives that are
7.8 so they are too small
to partition each.
7.8 Mb? Should be fine. Even 7.8kB could be useful.
The only thing I can
think of is to have Debian's
bootloader taking care
of all three. Well, I can
do this with three
windows98 harddrives but I'm
going to need some assistance with this
project.
Try http://newbiedoc.sourceforge.net/ for things to do after installation.
Hth (Hope that helps),
