this blows. my servers run on UPSs with ext2 and have not crashed. My
laptop runs on a battery with ext3 *because* it would go down due to
power outage or other things[1]. annoying!

  1. could someone tell me how to make apmd alert me when there are
  less than 10% of battery left?
