Re: server with debian 3.0 randomly shuts down when booting

i just checked and it's a 350 power supply.
devices in it are 1 ide harddisk, 1 soundblaster isa card, a scsi card
and scsi cdrom, 2 pci network cards, geforce 32 and a diskdrive.
The motherboard is a DFI 686IPK Intel 440 FX Chipset.

I had to look at http://sj.dfi.com.tw/ and then search the support
page, outdated product (what! it's only 5/6 years old!! :-) ),
motherboards, 686, 686IPK and then i found a pdf with info
on the board.

I checked the fan of the power unit and the one of the cpu and
both are running. I think i'll have to look in the direction of
power related stuff. For instance, there's a jumper that cuts the
power when the processor fan does less than 3600 RPM.
