fetchmail: temp. nameserver problem

Hi all,

I configured fetchmail with fetchmailconf and put fetchmailrc in
/etc. The standard setup starts fetchmail in daemon mode on bootup
(systemwide fetchmailrc is installed) and pon calls fetchmail in ip-up.d
But this never succeeds to get mail, fetchmail
complaining it can't locate the mail-server: "temporary name-server error"
Most of the time this is true, (when I'm offline and the daemon looks for
mail every 5 min), but it doesn't seem to notice when I'm online.
At the same time I can browse with lynx fine, so dynamic dns seems fully
functional to my eyes. And if I do
# fetchmail -d0 -v
on commandline, fetchmail gets the mail (no dns-problem _then_).

What's going on?

Christian
