note it has the "Option" "SWCursor"
your driver may support it, perhaps the manual page is just
incomplete. try it, see what happens

could be the card, or a buggy driver, in any case the software
cursor is supposed to fix such a problem at the expense of some
performance as well as cursor flicker..

the only command I know of is xdpyinfo and I couldn't find anything
cursor related to it:(
