I agree. *ALWAYS* Keep your data in an open format. Use HTML or plain
text. It's your data, keep the source (the originals) open. You can
always copy HTML into the closed WP or Word format, but getting data out
of a closed format is *much* more difficult... and this is by design.

The importance of this cannot be overstated. Look at all the Microsoft
Office users and Outlook users who are locked in. Keep yourself and your
data free, and tell everyone else you know to do the same!
