ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 RL

Hi,

I am trying to get X working for a friend, who has a woody installed.

He said he only could start X with the vesa driver ( xserver-xfree86
package), but thats quite slow.

lspci says about his videocard: ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 RL

Does anyone have some experience with this card, with which X driver
should it run? Shouldn't it work with the r128 driver?

do i need a gatos ati.2 driver?

XFree86 Version 4.1.0.1

any help is appreciated
