Have you tried using an MS font in any other gtk/gnome apps ?? I'm not
sure which allow you to change fonts though... Try 'gfontsel'. It's a
font selector, similar to xfontsel, with a gtk/gnome front-end.

I can use MS fonts in galeon just fine, for what that's worth.
