OT: xdvi and emacs working together
Hello List
Yes, I know this is OT, but I know also that there are a lot of LaTeXers in
here...
I have just downloaded the srcltx package from CTAN, because xdvi mentions in
its manpage, that CTRL-Leftclick on a position in the dvi file will open an
editor with the cursor on the right position. After seeting
xdvi.editor: emacs
in my .Xdefaults file, a new emacs is started on the right position in the
.tex file (voilà, it works basically). Does anybody know how this behaviour
(of starting a new emacs session with each CTRL-click) can be changed to
"Warp-the-cursor-in-the-emacs-window-from-where-xdvi-was-started-to-the-desired-position"?
Would be very nice, because emacs needs rather long to start up, eats memory,
everything else why vi-users hate emacs ;) , and because one emacs-window
really is enough.
Thanks, everybody
joerg
PS.: Yes, I know that I should subscribe to comp.text.tex ...
