RE: DSL connection with DHCP

Hello,

I went through this madness last night and finally found that the easiest
thing was to re-install and make sure that I installed the device module for
my nic. If it is recognized, then you get a dialog box that asks about DHCP
and it is automatically configured.

This was with Woody, USRobotics Router to static DSL. The Router was already
set up and working properly for a Windows box.

I wouldn't mind in the least reading a walk through as to how to do this
manually...on Google looking under this topic you get how tos about setting
up a DHCP server, and I believe that is part of the Router software
(essentially ignorant here, that is just what I gathered).

Best Wishes!

Subject: DSL connection with DHCP

Hi
I need to connect to my DSL line. I looked up information
about pppoe but documentation says if you have a DSL
 router, use DHCP instead.

We have a router, anyone have pointers on DHCP
 documentation?
