Help with hdparm

Hello list:

I have a 60 GB 7200 rpm Seagate HD, the mainboard is a little older, the 1st 
mainboard that came out for AMD K7.

Testing with hdparm and then comparing results with other people it's seems i 
can get more juice out of my HD.

My problem: i cannot find help with hdparm, some kind of FAQ or anything like 
it.

Besides it sometimes ask's me if I have Ultra DMA enabled in Kernel options. 
I think i do, but running up and down the kernel tree i cannot tell which is 
this option.

Any ideas?
