mkswap: warning: truncating swap area to 2097144kB
Hi,
I get the following warning when I try to add a 4 Gb swap (/dev/sda1
--->4Gb)
mkswap /dev/sda1
mkswap: warning: truncating swap area to 2097144kB
Setting up swapspace version 1, size = 2147471360 bytes
I have even tried mkswap -f /dev/sda1 4096000 , same result...
(2.4.18 #1 SMP) debian 3.0
Having a 2x2Gb swap partition or creating 2 lv 's could be a solution.
Isn't it possible to create a swap area bigger than 2Gb?
