Lilo warning
Just wondering if anyone could tell me what this message means
"Warning: Int 0x13 function 8 and function 0x48 return different
head/sector geometries for BIOS drive 0x80"
I have just installed Woody on my laptop using the bf24 kernel with
hda1 as a windows partition, hda2 as a swap partition and hda3 as root
with a reiserfs filesystem. After editing lilo.conf to add the "apm=on"
and "video=vga16:off" I ran lilo and got that warning message.
Everything appears to work fine though. I did get that message once
before when I first installed a 2.4.18 kernel on this laptop but had no
problems. I did a search then on google and couldn't find anything that
I could make sense of but as everything appeared to work ok I didn't
worry about it. Thought I might ask though if anyone could tell me just
what it means.
