Ah, that's the default, but this monitor should be able to do better,
and I sure prefer a higher refresh rate.  Xfree86-4 all by itself
manages to get it working at 85 Hz, but I was looking at sqeezing
a few more Hertz out of it:)

Just wondering now why you use a custom modeline when the default
modeline is better:

(**) NV(0): Default mode "1280x960": 148.5 MHz, 85.9 kHz, 85.0 Hz
(II) NV(0): Modeline "1280x960"  148.50  1280 1344 1504 1728  960 961 964 1011 +hsync +vsync
