I have a US Robotics 56k Internal Modem (5610 chipset), I have used this modem in this same computer under windows and it connects at around 33-46k. However under Debian it stablishes a connection at 9600 bauds, and the internet conections seems limited to that speed.

Anyone has encountered similar problems before?
