The ever present, NetHack?  Not really an arcade game, but definitely
a way to kill a few months...  ^_^  (No, this isn't from exprience...
^_^)

or xpuyopuyo is always great fun, especially if you can find a friend
to share your midnight gaming sessions...

xscavenger for a loderunner clone.

xbill or the gnome version.  but that takes a mouse...
