I think it's a subtle bug in man-db >= 2.4.0: it tries to sort the man
pages it's found in an attempt to display the best one, and this
algorithm has gone slightly wrong.

I'll investigate. Perhaps it should put the manpath order above all
other sort criteria - this needs some thought.
