Note that 2.4.10 kernels are not the best ones to use. They
usually tend to swap a lot under high load. More recent kernels
(2.4.18) are probably a better choice. YMMV => try for yourself.

theoretically this is the right solution, however I'm not sure
some wise Debian security expert has not disabled it.
Then there's 'xsu', which it's ludicrous list of dependencies
(libaudiofile ??? WTF ? :)
The lists.d.o archives seems broben ATM, but there's been quite
some discussion there a few months ago (on -devel I think).
