I screwed up my LILO/HD/partitions - Help! - More info
I tried something else. Using the Potato CD, I booted my system up and at the boot: prompt, did:
rescue root=/deb/hdb1
this booted up my partiton, to a point. It finally halted with:
EXT 2-fs: 03:41 Couldn't mount because of unsupported optional features.
[MS-DOS FS Rel. 12, FAT 16, check=n,conv=b,uid=0,gid=0,umask=022,bmap]
[me=0xf2,cs=50,hf=0,fs=65526,fl=23348,ds=65526,de=0,data="">
26245,ls=5376,rc=0,fc=4294967295
Transaction blocksize = 512
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:41
I'm guessing that has something to with the fact that my partition's kernel is 2.2.19, which is different from the Potato CD version.
