apt-get problem

Hi Friends,

I have some problem with using apt-get. I tried installing php4_4.0.5.deb. It just refused to installed showing some dependencies. The I used the command

dpkg --force-depends -i php4_4.0.5.deb

to install. Everything went fine. But when I tried to install someother package(say for example mc) using apt-get. It said 1 package to (ie php4)remove and 1 package(ie mc) to install. I am stuck up.

How do I proceed with installing other packages without removing php4?

Thanx in advance
Cheers!!!
Somu
