portslave - does it work ?

hi

i have been playing with portslave for a while now and
can't seem to get it working.

i got it to answer the phone but then nothing happens
it just sits there, and the log says "Waiting for login"
I don't get the login prompt or the default greeting
which says 'portslave internet services'.

i set the debug to 2 and do not see any errors. the
ONLY thing i get on the client side is the CONNECT
string, nothing else.
from the time it connects to the time it disconnects
there are only 2 log entries:

Aug 11 16:24:32 ras-wa port[S0]:Connected - waiting for login
Aug 11 16:24:59 ras-wa port[S0]:Got Hangup - exiting


i'm gonna go try mgetty, used it a few years ago and
it worked at the time..just would be nice to have portslave
workin it looks pretty neat
