I have this in a previous kernel (2.2.19pre9) which displayed
none of the logo, 30-line screen etc.
As far as I can see, the only relevant things I have set in
the 2.2.20-idepci kernel (the one that has the novelties) but
not in the old one are:
CONFIG_FB_VESA=y
CONFIG_FBCON_VGA_PLANES=y
